The Boilermaker's Erie Canal Races : Marcy, NY
The Boilermaker's Erie Canal Races on May 17, 2026 include in-person and virtual options over multiple distances. Courses start and finish on the track at the Ed Wadas Athletic Complex at Whitesboro High School in Marcy, NY, and use the pedestrian bridge over Rt. 49 and the Erie Canalway Trail.

Registration details include a Special New Year’s Resolution window from January 1 at 12:01am through January 4 at 11:59pm, then open registration from January 5 through race day or until events reach their caps. Relay registration closes at 11:59pm on May 14. Virtual race registrants receive mailed shirts and medals.
Packet pickup is available at Boilermaker offices, 805 Court Street, Utica: Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16, with limited pickup near the Start/Finish on race day. Race incentives include a moisture-wicking performance tee and a finisher medal; the tee is guaranteed for those who register by 11:59pm on May 3.
The event follows applicable local and federal public health guidelines in effect on race day. Per event policy, there are no deferrals and no refunds. The course is restricted to registered athletes and official personnel; walkers, animals, bicycles, strollers, and similar items are prohibited.
