About the race
Connor's Claims Ultra is a trail race day on May 22, 2027 in Stockton, UT, organized by Tooele Trail Racing. The event offers three distances that follow mining roads, ATV trails, and some off-trail sections through the Oquirrh, Stansbury, and Onaqui Mountains and Rush Valley.
Distances offered:
- 50 Miler (course ~52 miles, ~14,000 ft total elevation)
- 50K (31.1 miles, ~9,500 ft total elevation)
- Half Marathon (13.8 miles, ~3,900 ft total elevation)
The 50 Miler route includes steep climbs on the old Gisbourne Toll Road, Porphyry Hill twice, Bald Mountain East and West, and several canyon and loop trails. Terrain breakdown for the 50 Miler is about 98% mining road and ATV trail and 2% off-trail. The organizer lists five substantial climbs on this course, each between about 2,000 and 3,300 ft. Aid stations for the 50 Miler are placed at Jacob City, the start/finish area, Soldier Canyon, Ophir Canyon, Lion Hill Loop Trailhead (three separate stops), and Commodore Pass.
The 50K follows Soldier Canyon, Lion Hill Loop, Porphyry Hill, Bald Mountain East and West, and returns on the toll road. Terrain for the 50K is about 97% mining road and ATV trail and 3% off-trail. The Half Marathon ascends an OHV trail and the Gisbourne Toll Road to Bald Mountain West and returns.
