Connor's Claims Ultra, Stockton, Utah : May 30, 2026
Connor's Claims Ultra is a multi-distance trail event based at the Jacob City Trailhead near Stockton, Utah. The event is in its sixth year and follows routes through the Oquirrh, Stansbury, and Onaqui mountain foothills and Rush Valley, on historic mining roads and ATV trails once used for mining in the early 1860s.
Distances
- 50 Mile: ~52 miles, ~14,000 ft total vert
- 50K: 31.1 miles, ~9,500 ft total vert
- Half Marathon: 13.8 miles, ~3,900 ft total vert
The 50-mile course includes old toll roads, Jacob City ruins, Dry Canyon, Soldier Canyon and its South Fork, Lion Hill Loop, Porphyry Hill summit twice, Bald Mountain East and West, and Commodore Pass. Runners face five large climbs of roughly 2,000 to 3,300 ft each. Aid stations are located at several miles along the route, including Jacob City, Soldier Canyon, Ophir Canyon, Lion Hill Loop trailhead, and Commodore Pass. Hard cutoffs are given as elapsed time limits at specified miles.
The 50K includes Soldier Canyon, Chandler Fork, Lion Hill Loop, Porphyry Hill, Bald Mountain East and West, and Commodore Pass, with three major climbs and aid stations spaced along the route. The half marathon climbs to the Bald Mountain West summit on OHV and toll road terrain.
Trail surface is primarily mining road and ATV trail with minimal off-trail sections. The event is USATF sanctioned. Organizers maintain a low key race format and do not provide entry bags, large finish line displays, or similar race extras. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
