Juniper Canyon Half Marathon
Juniper Canyon Half Marathon is a spring trail race held along the Wasatch Front in northern Utah, starting and finishing at W&M Butterfield Park in Herriman. The course runs through canyons, ridgelines, and foothills with single-track sections and measurable elevation gain that overlook the Wasatch Valley and Mountains.
Registration includes a well marked course, a locally made finisher medal and age-group medals, a race shirt, free race photos, well stocked aid stations, and live results. Post-race food is provided by Great Harvest Bread and includes cinnamon rolls, seasonal and flavored breads, chocolate milk, orange juice, and bananas.
Course navigation uses pink flags, ribbons, signs, and trail marshals. Aid stations offer water, Gatorade, Honey Stinger gels and waffles, fruit, and assorted packaged snacks. Parking at the venue is free and plentiful. Xotio Media will photograph runners on course and at the finish line, with photos available for download using bib recognition.
Awards are given to overall male and female finishers in first through third place, and age division medals are awarded to first through third place male and female in the listed age groups. Volunteer credits are offered for future Happy Trails events and volunteers have access to finish-area food. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
