Juniper Canyon Half Marathon
The Juniper Canyon Half Marathon is a spring trail race in Northern Utah that runs through canyons, ridgelines, and foothills overlooking the Wasatch Valley and Mountains. The course features single-track trails and measurable elevation gain, and it starts and finishes at W&M Butterfield Park in Herriman.
Registration includes a well marked course, a locally made finisher medal, a race shirt, live results, free race photos hosted with bib recognition, and access to well stocked aid stations. Packet pickup is available the day before at Salt Lake Running Company in Sandy and on race day at the starting area. Same day registration is not available; late online registration runs through April 30 and may not guarantee shirt availability.
Post-race provisions include a Great Harvest Bread breakfast with cinnamon rolls and seasonal breads, plus drinks and fruit. Awards for overall male and female finishers include custom locally made plaques for places one through three and gift cards from Salt Lake Running Company for first place. Age division medals are awarded to first through third in the listed age groups.
Course navigation uses pink flags, ribbons, signs, and trail marshals. Parking at the venue is free and plentiful. The event is presented by Happy Trails Racing as part of a series of trail and road events along the Wasatch Front. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
