Juniper Canyon Half Marathon
The Juniper Canyon Half Marathon is a trail race in Herriman, Utah organized by Happy Trails Running on May 1, 2027. The course starts and finishes at Butterfield Park and uses the Herriman City Trail System and multiple named trails, including Diamondback Trail, Eric's Trail, Mustang Trail, and the Bonneville Shoreline Trail.
The route is a lollipop loop of 13.1 miles with about +1,681 ft total elevation gain. Terrain is primarily single track (93%) with a small paved portion (7%). Segment details listed by the organizer include 3.9 miles (+784/-249 ft) to the first aid, 5.3 miles (+668/-668 ft) between aid stations, and 3.9 miles (+249/-784 ft) from the final aid back to the finish. Aid stations may be up to 5.9 miles apart and will offer water, Tailwind, Honey Stinger gels/waffles, fruit, and other snacks.
Race services and extras include a locally made finisher medal and age-group medals, a running shirt, free race photos, live results, post-race breakfast from Great Harvest Bread, well marked trails, and on-course marshals. There is no cutoff time for finishing. Packet pickup is available the Friday before at the Sandy Salt Lake Running Store; same-day pickup details are provided by the organizer.
