Serengeti Trail Races : April 11, 2026
The Serengeti Trail Races take place in Erda, Utah, at the Bates Canyon Trail Head. This is the 9th annual running of the event. The event is USATF sanctioned and is held on trails in the Serengeti/Oquirrh Wave trail system in Tooele County.

- 6.2 Miler
The 50K course is not yet finalized. It will likely consist of two 25K loops, with the first loop run counterclockwise and the second loop run clockwise. The route will include a mix of dirt road/ATV trail, double-track, and single-track. Elevation gain is expected to be between 4,000 and 4,500 ft.
The 25K course is also not yet finalized. It is planned as the first loop of the 50K, run clockwise. The course surface will include dirt road/ATV trail, double-track, and single-track. Elevation gain is expected to be between 2,000 and 2,200 ft.
The 6.2 Miler (described as the 10K course) goes up Puke Ravine, up the Pole Canyon double-track, down the wooded Pole Canyon trail, down the BBC trail, and back to the start/finish area. Total mileage is 6.45 miles with about 1,250 ft of elevation gain. Surface breakdown for this route is listed as 45% dirt road/ATV trail, 38% single-track, and 17% double-track.
Other information
Aid stations will be stocked. There is a hard cutoff of 2 hours. The top three men and women in each distance will receive modest awards. Course routes may change from year to year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
