About the race
The Community Traverse Cleveland Hills is a point to point ultra covering 80 km across the North Yorkshire moors on Saturday 29 May 2027. The route begins in Ingleby Arncliffe and finishes at Robin Hood's Bay, following the final section of the Coast to Coast path and crossing varied terrain including trail, moorland, rolling ridgelines, forest track, uneven ground, and short sections of road.
The course includes three staffed checkpoints: CP1 Lordstones (12.7 km), CP2 The Lion Inn (31.8 km), and CP3 Horseshoe Hotel (49.5 km). Checkpoints will provide water, hot food with vegan and gluten free options, snacks and race nutrition, indoor access and toilets, and basic first aid support. A GPX file and final route details will be issued before the event.
The event has an overall cut-off of 15 hours; individual checkpoint cut-offs will be given in the final event pack and participants behind cut-off pace may be withdrawn for safety. Live tracking will be used for all runners and trackers must be returned to event staff. A mandatory kit list applies and participants must follow the marked route and report to race control if withdrawing. The event is registered with the International Trail Running Association and finishers can earn ITRA endurance points.
