Hartford HealthCare Community 5K : Hartford, CT
The Hartford HealthCare Community 5K takes place on September 26, 2026, with the course beginning and ending at the Hartford HealthCare Community Stage at Mortensen Riverfront Plaza, 300 Columbus Blvd, Hartford. The route runs along the Connecticut River and passes through Riverfront Recapture parkland.
Terrain includes dirt trails, wooded trails, grass, and paved walkways. The event offers separate categories for running, walking, and a youth division. Check-in, bib pickup and same-day registration are part of the event schedule, as are an opening ceremony and an awards ceremony.
Awards are given to top finishers in age groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-45, 46-59, 60-69, and 70 & up. The first 500 registrants receive a race t-shirt. Race registration fees are non-refundable. Hartford HealthCare colleagues may have access to a discount code through internal channels such as the HHC Running Group or Heartbeat.
Parking options include free on-street parking on both sides of the river and paid parking in the Connecticut Convention Center Garage. Parking directions note that parking on the fifth floor with exit on the north side provides direct access to Mortensen Riverfront Plaza.
