2026 Hartford HealthCare Community 5K
The Hartford HealthCare Community 5K is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Mortensen Riverfront Plaza in Hartford, Connecticut. The event is presented in partnership with Riverfront Recapture and uses the Hartford HealthCare Community Stage as the start and finish location.
The course follows paths along the Connecticut River and through parks managed by Riverfront Recapture. Terrain on the route includes dirt trails, wooded trails, grass, and paved walkways. The event offers a 5K distance and includes run, walk, and youth entry categories.
Registration fees are non-refundable. The first 500 registrants will receive a race t-shirt. Hartford HealthCare colleagues are eligible to check with the HHC Running Group or Heartbeat for a discount code.
Awards are given to top finishers in these age groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-45, 46-59, 60-69, and 70 & up. Parking options include free on-street parking on both sides of the river and paid parking in the Connecticut Convention Center Garage; using the fifth floor exit on the north side provides direct access to Mortensen Riverfront Plaza.
