Commodore to Commodore Run
Old Town Run Club (OTRC) organizes a group event on June 6, 2026, that travels from The Commodore in Dupont Circle to The Commodore in Alexandria. Participants cover 9 miles in three separate groups: a walking group and two running groups, which depart at staggered intervals and reconvene in Alexandria for a shared celebration.
All participants receive a complimentary beer at both the start location and the finish location. The event also offers a 10% food discount on purchases at the venue in Alexandria. The registration fee for the event is $30. A dry fit short sleeve shirt is included for registrations received before May 24. Registration opens April 22 and closes June 6.
The event serves as a fundraiser for a 9/11 Remembrance Run. Runners and walkers are encouraged to raise funds either as a pledge per mile covered or by making a donation to support the remembrance run. The activity begins at a Dupont Circle meeting point and finishes at the Alexandria venue, with organized group pacing and a communal gathering at the finish.
