Commodore Hull Thanksgiving Day 5k Road Race
The Commodore Hull Thanksgiving Day 5K is a charity road race presented by Greco & Haines that benefits the Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley. The in-person course begins in downtown Shelton, runs through downtown Derby, and returns to Shelton. The event also offers a live or virtual option with a three day race window.
Registration is organized by age category with published entry fees: $20 for participants under 18, $35 for ages 19 to 69, and free for those 70 and older. A scheduled price increase for the 19 to 69 category is noted on November 1, 2025. Registration remains open through the morning of race day.
The race day village includes complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, bagels, fruit, and water, along with paid food options such as a TexMex Fusion food truck and Jim’s Soft Serve Ice Cream. There are long drink samples for guests 21 and older and an awards ceremony after the event.
