Commodore Hull Thanksgiving Day 5k Road Race
The Commodore Hull Thanksgiving Day 5k is a charity road race organized by the Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley. The in-person course runs from downtown Shelton through Derby and returns to Shelton. The event is presented by Greco & Haines and proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley. Both live and virtual participation options are offered, and a multi-day race window is available for virtual entries.
Registration pricing is published in age tiers: $20 for participants under 18, $35 for ages 19 to 69, and free for ages 70 and older. The price for the 19 to 69 age group increases to $40 on November 1, 2025. Race shirts and awards are provided to participants.
A race day area includes complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, bagels, fruit, and water. Additional items will be available for purchase, including a TexMex Fusion food truck and soft serve ice cream; there are also samples of a Long Drink product for those 21 and older. The event follows USATF track and field sanctioning requirements and provides the USATF Safe Sport Handbook to participants, officials, volunteers, and event administrators.
