Commodore Hull Thanksgiving Day 5K Road Race
The Commodore Hull Thanksgiving Day 5K Road Race is a Thanksgiving Day event presented by Greco & Haines. The course runs through downtown Shelton, continues through Derby, and returns to Shelton. Proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley.
The event offers both in-person and virtual participation and includes a multi-day race window. Registration fees listed by age group are: $20 for participants under 18, $35 for ages 19 to 69, and free for those 70 and older. A noted pricing change increases the 19 to 69 fee to $40 on November 1, 2025.
A race day village accompanies the event with complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, bagels, fruit, and water. Additional items are available for purchase including a TexMex Fusion Food Truck, long drink samples for those 21 and older, and soft serve ice cream. An awards ceremony takes place after the race.
