Event
The 2026 Commander-in-Chief Chase is a road running event on February 16, 2026, held at Wilderness Presidential Resort in Spotsylvania, Virginia. It is organized by Bishops Events. Points from the event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack series, and toward the Winter Series. A virtual race option is available.

Race details
The course is a paved route through the resort that is described as fairly flat with no major hills. The event is chip timed. Runners receive a finisher medal and a technical Drifit event shirt; shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before February 4. Live results are posted on Athlinks, with final results and series points posted the Monday after the race.
Practical information
Water stations: five on the 10k at approximate mile markers 0.7, 1.8, 3.1, 3.8 and 4.9; two on the 5k at approximate mile markers 0.7 and 1.8. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are available in buildings at the start area. Packet pickup and race day registration are available at the event. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second in standard age groups; overall top three are not eligible for age-group prizes.
