Colt 45 Trail Run at Colt Creek State Park
The Colt 45 Trail Run takes place on November 21, 2026, at Colt Creek State Park, 16000 State Rte 471, Lakeland, FL. The event uses a network of 14-mile loops plus a starter loop and offers multiple distance options on natural trail surfaces through the park.
Distances:
- Colt Double Malt - 60 miles: four 14-mile loops plus a starter loop.
- Original Colt 45 - 45 miles: three 14-mile loops plus a 3-mile starter loop.
- Colt Silver - 45K: two 14-mile loops.
- Colt Mini - 14 miles: one 14-mile loop.
Each 14-mile loop includes three aid stations. The route notes that the segment between the first and second visit of Aid Station 2 is a little over five miles; participants are advised to plan to carry at least a handheld water source. Course maps and GPX files are provided for navigation.
Post-race recognition includes special overall awards for the top three male and female finishers in each distance. Handcrafted medals are given to other finishers, and a post-race picnic area is available where runners can rest and watch remaining finishers.
A1 Ultra Events does not offer refunds. Registered runners may receive a rollover credit equal to 70 percent of the entry fee toward the following year if the rollover option is applied up to seven days before the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
