Colorado Run for the Fallen 6 Hour Run/Walk/Ruck
The Colorado Run for the Fallen is an untimed event held in September 2026 at Palmer Lake Regional Recreation Area, 199 County Line Road, Palmer Lake, Colorado. The format allows participants to run, walk, or ruck for any amount of time up to six hours. There are no chips or clocks and no required duration of participation.
Each mile is dedicated to an individual Colorado military service member lost since the start of the Global War on Terror. For tribute miles the name, rank, and date of loss are read aloud and followed by a ceremonial salute. The event concludes with a Final Mile of Honor. Participants may carry the name of a fallen service member and may participate solo or as part of a team.
All participants receive an event t-shirt. An aid station provides water, electrolytes, and snacks. Gold Star families receive complimentary registration; inquiries are handled by the race director. Volunteers support event operations and Core Runners carry memorial flags and join opening and closing ceremonies. Registration opens April 5, 2026 and closes September 13, 2026 with a listed registration fee of $35.00. Proceeds support Honor and Remember’s mission, including presentation of personalized flags to Gold Star families in Colorado. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
