Gleneagle Spirit 5K Family Fun Run
The Gleneagle Spirit 5K is a neighborhood community event centered on a chip timed 5 kilometer run and walk, with additional options including a kid's fun run and a ruck category. The course winds through the streets of the Gleneagle community in northern Colorado Springs and the race start and finish are located at Antelope Trails Elementary School, 15280 Jessie Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80921.
The event includes a post-race community celebration with food trucks serving before and after the run, a vendor midway with music and vendor giveaways, a fire engine display by the Monument Fire District, and leg and ankle massages provided by the Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy. Top male and female finishers receive gold silver and bronze medals across age classifications, and prize awards are given in multiple categories.
Organizers are local neighborhood realtors supported by volunteer residents. Packet pick up is scheduled for September 4 from 4 to 7 PM. Accessibility measures include a wheelchair accessible porta potty. Parking is available on the east side of Gleneagle Drive between Jessie Drive and Baptist Road. Pets are not allowed due to insurance restrictions. All proceeds will go to Mount Carmel Veterans Service Center.
