Run4Hope 5K for Schools
Run4Hope 5K for Schools is an in-person event at The Ascent Church in El Paso County on Saturday, September 12, 2026. This is the event's tenth annual edition. The day includes a community block party after the run that offers a free BBQ lunch, live music by WireWood Station, classic cars, games, bounce houses and other family activities.
The event raises funds to support social and emotional wellness programs for local teens. Funds support suicide prevention work, mental health awareness, and training delivered in El Paso County schools.
Participants may choose between competitive and noncompetitive formats. Available options include:
- 5K competitive chip timed race
- Color Fun Run or walk with powdered color stations
The event also offers ways for local organizations and individuals to take part beyond running. Corporate sponsorships include brand visibility, website and social media recognition, and vendor booth space during the event and block party. Volunteer roles mentioned include welcome team, color blaster team, and hydration support. A tribute option is available for people who wish to participate in honor of someone who survived an attempt or someone lost to suicide.
