Event Overview
The Color Splash 1K & 5K Run/Walk is an interactive community event held at 351 N Cleveland Avenue in Hagerstown. Participants can choose to complete the course by running or walking. The event features several specialized engagement points, including five distinct color stations, a bubble station, a Super Soaker station, and a misting arch.
The event contains multiple distance options for different age groups:
- 1 km and 5 km Color Splash Fun Run (ages 6+)
- 5 km (ages 0-5)
Course Details and Timing
The event is organized into several waves, allowing participants to move at a speed that matches their personal fitness level. While a race clock is provided for general reference, the event does not use timing chips. Every participant receives a finisher's medal upon completion.
Celebration Festival
Following the run and walk, a Celebration Festival takes place. This post-race gathering includes a selfie wall for photography and a final group photo where participants can experience further color coverage. The festival also provides resources and healthy food samples aligned with USDA MyPlate guidelines. This event supports the Healthy Living programs of the YMCA of Hagerstown.
