Color Splash 1K & 5K Fun Run
The YMCA of Hagerstown organizes a Color Splash fun run on September 26, 2026, at Fairgrounds Park in Hagerstown, Maryland. The event offers two distances and multiple color stations where participants are splashed with colored powder as they move through the course. The event is non-competitive: there are no timing chips, though a clock will be visible at the finish line.

Registration tiers are listed by date: early registration $35 (April 17–May 31), regular $45 (June 1–August 31), late $55 (September 1–September 22), and front desk/onsite $60 (September 23–September 26). A participant t-shirt, goodie bag, healthy snacks and water, and a finisher’s medal are included with registration. T-shirts will also be available for purchase on race day for $20.
Practical notes from the organizer: packet pick-up takes place the two days before the event, on September 24 and September 25. On-site parking is available at Fairgrounds Park and carpooling is suggested. Strollers are permitted; dogs are not allowed. The color powder is described as food grade cornstarch and generally safe, but inhaling powder may affect people with respiratory conditions, so covering the nose and mouth is recommended.
