Color Dash for Hope - ACE Adventure Resort
Color Dash for Hope is a timed 5K run/walk held at ACE Adventure Resort on August 29, 2026. The event combines a color-run format with fundraising for Hope in the Hills, a nonprofit focused on combating opioid addiction in Appalachia.
The course begins along a level gravel road that leads to ACE’s Concho Overlook of the New River Gorge, where an aid station provides water. The return follows a relatively flat, easy trail back to the finish. Color stations along the route apply powder color to participants, and finishers receive a race medal.
Event registration includes an event shirt if registered before July 31, 2026, a finishers medal, and a burrito buffet after the run. Facilities listed for participants include shower houses and changing rooms, free parking, and free camping on the Saturday night of the event; camping requires checking in at the ACE Welcome Center on arrival. Prizes are awarded to top finishers.
The event is described as open to all ages and fitness levels and is presented as family friendly.
