Colchester 10K
The Colchester 10K is an annual community road race organised by Rotary in Colchester, delivered by a partnership of the town’s four Rotary Clubs. Hundreds of runners take part on a UK Athletics certified 10 km course that is suitable for official time submissions.
The course starts and finishes on Abbey Fields and begins on Circular Road North, winding through the Colchester Garrison area. The route is predominantly flat with a few gentle slopes near the end and follows a combination of pavements and tracks. Road crossings are fully marshalled and there are two water stations on the route plus water at the finish line.
Event facilities include free on-site parking, toilet facilities and an unsupervised bag drop. Qualified first aid support is provided on site. Entry is available in separate categories for affiliated runners, unaffiliated runners and members of the Armed Forces; affiliated entrants are asked to provide club name and registration number at entry.
