Event Overview
The Colchester 10k is an annual community event organized by the Rotary in Colchester, a partnership representing the town's three Rotary Clubs. The race takes place in the heart of historic Colchester, Essex, starting from Abbey Field. This event attracts hundreds of participants and is open to runners aged 15 and over.
The course is set on tarmac surfaces and is accurately measured. It is described as flat and fast, following a scenic route that allows participants to explore the town. To support runners during the event, there are two water stations located along the course. Participants also have access to an unsupervised bag drop area, and free parking is available at the venue.

Charitable Components
While participants are welcome to support any charity of their choice, the event officially raises money for local organizations. These include St Helena Hospice, which provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care in north east Essex, and MS-UK, a charity supporting individuals living with multiple sclerosis.
