Colchester 10K
The Colchester 10K is an annual community road race organised by Rotary in Colchester, run by a partnership of the town’s four Rotary Clubs. The event attracts hundreds of runners and is based at Abbey Fields, Colchester, C02 7SZ.
The course starts and finishes on Abbey Field, begins on Circular Road North and winds through the Colchester Garrison area. The route is a certified 10K distance (UK Athletics approved), follows a combination of pavements and tracks, and is predominantly flat with a few gentle slopes near the end. Road crossings are fully marshalled.
Facilities listed for the event include two water stations en route, water at the finish line, free on site parking, toilet facilities and an unsupervised bag drop. Qualified first aid support is provided on site.
Entry categories are divided into Affiliated Runners, Unaffiliated Runners and Members of the Armed Forces. Affiliated entrants are asked to provide their club name and registration number. Unaffiliated runners may enter solo or as part of a team. Armed forces entrants may register under the military category and may create a team using their Regiment name.
