ATW Colchester Friday Night Runs
ATW Colchester Friday Night Runs take place on a Friday evening at Colchester Sports Park, Cuckoo Farm Way, Colchester, CO4 5YX. The event incorporates the Essex 5K County Championships and includes both a short fun run and multiple seeded 5 km races.
The course is a closed road circuit on smooth tarmac, run anticlockwise with no sharp bends and a finish at the end of the main straight. Each course is officially measured under a UK Athletics licence, chip timed, and results are published on Power of 10.
Entry options include:
- 1 mile fun run
- 5k road race incorporating the Essex 5K County Championships
Children under eight years must be accompanied by an adult with their own ticket. The Essex County 5k Championship results are produced by merging chip-timed results from the 5k races and include categories such as Open, V40, V45, V50, V55, V60, V65, V70+ and Teams. To qualify for the Essex Championships an athlete must meet residency or birth requirements in Essex, be 20 years or older, not have represented another county in the race year, represent their first claim club in official kit, and enter a valid UKA number and running club name at booking.
Entry fees are listed between £12 and £20. The organiser provides an entry transfer option to future ATW events up to 48 hours before the event; refunds and transfers to another person are not offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
