ATW Colchester Friday Night Runs
ATW Colchester Friday Night Runs is an evening road-running meeting at Colchester Sports Park, Cuckoo Farm Way, Colchester. The event uses a closed, anticlockwise road circuit with smooth tarmac, no sharp bends and a finish on the main straight. Each course is officially measured under a UK Athletics licence and the 5 km races are chip timed with results published on Power of 10.
The programme begins with a short fun run for children and families and continues with a series of seeded 5 km races that conclude with elite women’s and men’s races. Children under eight years must be accompanied by an adult who holds their own ticket for any distance. The 5 km races also incorporate the Essex County 5k Championships; county eligibility requires living in or being born in Essex, being over 18, representing a first claim club in Essex, not having represented another county in the current race year, and entering a valid UKA number and club name at booking.
An equal prize list is provided for the elite women’s and men’s races and the county championships include multiple age categories and team prizes. Free parking is available at the venue with sign-in via the sports park cafe iPads. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
