ATW Colchester Friday Night Runs

ATW Colchester Friday Night Runs is a programme of evening races at Colchester Sports Park, incorporating the Essex County 5 km Championships. The course is traffic free, anticlockwise, pancake flat and on smooth tarmac with no sharp bends; it is a closed road circuit with a finish on the main straight. The event is held under a full UK Athletics licence, each course is officially measured and certified, and all 5 km races are chip timed with results published on Power of 10.

Distances offered:

• 1 mile Future Mile, free entry for under 18s; children under eight must be accompanied by an adult.
• 5 km multiple seeded 5 km races including Elite Women and Elite Men races.

Complimentary elite entries are available to athletes who have achieved specified performance standards in the last two years, with evidence on Power of 10 required. The chip timed 5 km races are combined to produce Essex County 5 km Championship results across male and female categories including Open, V40, V45, V50, V55, V60, V65, V70+ and Teams.

The event partner charity is Alzheimer’s Research UK and opportunities to donate and fundraise are available at checkout. The organiser’s transfer policy allows entry transfers to any future ATW event up to 48 hours before the original event date; refunds and transfers to another person are not offered.
