ATW Colchester Friday Night Runs
ATW Colchester Friday Night Runs is an evening road running meeting held at Colchester Sports Park, Cuckoo Farm Way, Colchester CO4 5YX. The programme includes a 1 mile fun run followed by multiple 5 km races, and the day concludes with Radley Elite women's and men's races.
The 5 km course is traffic-free, pancake flat and run on smooth tarmac on a closed road circuit. The course runs anticlockwise, has no sharp bends and finishes on the end of the main straight. Races are held under a full UK Athletics licence, each course has been officially measured, races are chip timed and results are published on Power of 10.
Entry rules vary by category. The 5 km races are open to entrants aged 11 and over on the race date. Separate eligibility criteria apply for the Essex County 5k Championships: entrants must be over 18, meet local birth or residency conditions, conform to club representation rules and enter a valid UK Athletics number and club name at booking.
There is an equal prize list for the Radley Elite women's and men's races and complimentary elite entries are available to athletes who meet published qualifying times and provide evidence on Power of 10. The event supports Alzheimer’s Research UK through fundraising at checkout. Free parking is available at the venue via on site cafe iPads.
