ATW Colchester Friday Night Runs

ATW Colchester Friday Night Runs takes place at Colchester Sports Park, Cuckoo Farm Way, Colchester. The programme includes a 1 mile fun run and multiple chip-timed 5 km races, one of which incorporates the Essex 5K County Championships. Each course is UK Athletics licensed, officially measured with a certificate of course accuracy, and results are published on Power of 10.

The course is traffic-free, pancake flat and laid on smooth tarmac. It runs anticlockwise on a closed road circuit with no sharp bends and a finish line at the end of the main straight. The event includes seeded 5 km races and concludes with Radley elite women’s and men’s races for the fastest qualifying athletes.

• 5 km road race incorporating the Essex 5K County Championships

Essex Championship entry requires being born in Essex or resident there for nine months, being over 18 years old, representing a first claim club in an official club vest, and entering a valid UKA number and club name at booking; athletes must not have represented another county in the current race year. Children under eight must be accompanied by an adult who holds their own ticket. Entry fees range from £16 to £24. The event partners with Alzheimer’s Research UK for fundraising. ATW does not offer refunds or transfers to another person but allows transfers to a future ATW event up to 48 hours before the event without proof.
