Cocoa Beach Half Marathon and 10K
The Cocoa Beach Half Marathon is an annual event held in Florida, occurring for its 12th year in 2026. The event offers two primary distance options:
- Half Marathon (21.1 km)
- 10K (10 km)
The course takes participants along the coast where various sights are visible, including cruise ships, fishing boats, and local wildlife such as porpoises and diving birds. The route includes segments on State Road A1A and concludes with a finish on I Dream of Jeannie Lane.
For the half marathon, there is a three-hour time limit, and walking is not permitted due to the requirement to reopen the state road to traffic. Walkers are permitted to participate in the 10K distance.
Participants receive various amenities, including a commemorative hat for all pre-registered athletes and custom finisher medals designed to resemble a red, white, and blue "Jeannie bottle." Along the course, the event features several musical acts to provide entertainment. At the finish area, participants have access to food, beer, and medical support, including massages. Registration also includes discount coupons for a local surf shop.
The event is a USATF sanctioned competition. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual run option is also available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
