Event Overview
The Coastbuster 10 Mile & 10k is a seaside running event held in Ramsgate, Kent. Organized by The Coastal Striders, the races provide participants with views of the Thanet coastline and the local scenery between Ramsgate and Broadstairs. The event is held at Government Acre on the Westcliff Promenade.
The course is primarily set on tarmac surfaces. While much of the route follows the seafront, participants will encounter some hills and undulating sections, including a long hill and a short steep climb. The event features accurately measured courses and a dedicated 1 km run for younger participants.
Distances
- 10 Mile – Open to participants aged 17 and over.
- 10k – Open to participants aged 15 and over.
- 1km Junior Run – An inspiring run for younger athletes.
Facilities and Experience
The event site at Government Acre provides access to local facilities, including bag drop services and toilets. There is free street parking and a multi-story car park located within walking distance of the start and finish lines. The race site is situated approximately 20 minutes from Ramsgate station on foot.
Water stations are positioned along the route to support runners. All finishers receive a bespoke medal, and trophies or prizes are awarded to leading runners.
