The COASTAL EDGE STEEL PIER CLASSIC is a 5K road race held in Virginia Beach during Memorial Day weekend in May 2026. The listed entry fee is $40, with the price increasing after May 19, 2026. Race information refers to the Virginia Beach boardwalk at 2nd Street as the event place.
Course and logistics
The course is a flat out-and-back on the boardwalk, starting at 2nd Street, running north to 24th Street, then returning to 2nd Street. Water stations are provided at the start/finish area and at the turnaround. All finishers receive a T-shirt and a medal. Packet pickup is scheduled for the Friday before the race at Coastal Edge, 316 21st Street, Virginia Beach; race morning pickup is also available at the start line. Parking is available in the 2nd Street lot and at metered spaces on nearby cross streets. The event includes the Coastal Edge Student Art Pavilion and a surfing contest listed as the Coastal Edge Steel Pier Classic by Katin WSL 1000.
