Coastal Edge ECSC 5K
The Coastal Edge ECSC 5K is scheduled for Sunday, August 30, 2026, on the Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk. The course is an out and back route along the boardwalk, described as fast and flat with views of the oceanfront morning sun. The race starts at 2nd Street on the boardwalk. Course marshals will be positioned at key points and a water station will be set up near the turnaround. All finishers receive a custom medal and a commemorative tee.
Online registration fees are listed as $40 through August 16 and $45 starting August 17. On-site registration is handled under the Coastal Edge tent near the start line on the boardwalk, with walk-up payment accepted by cash or credit only. Packet pickup is available Wednesday, August 26 at Coastal Edge on 21st Street from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, and there is a race day packet pickup at 2nd Street on the Virginia Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk from 6:00 am to 6:45 am.
Pro surf competitions and other Coastal Edge ECSC events will be underway shortly after the race; those events are free and open to attend. Organizers note the event is outdoors and subject to sudden weather changes and that no refunds will be made for inclement weather. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
