Event Details
The Coastal Delaware Running Festival takes place over two days in mid-April. The event is held in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, with a start and finish line on the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk. Proceeds from the event benefit the Delaware Seashore Preservation Foundation and other local charities.
Race Distances
The festival includes several race distances held on two separate days:
- Saturday: A 5k run/walk.
- Sunday: A 9K run/walk, a Half Marathon, and a Marathon.
- Challenge Runs: Participants can also combine the Saturday 5k with Sunday's 9K, Half Marathon, or Marathon for a multi-race challenge.
All courses are described as flat and fast. The routes pass through several coastal Delaware landmarks, including Delaware State Park paths and the historic town of Lewes. The Marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifying event.
Participant Information
The event includes a packet pick-up and expo before the races. A finish line celebration takes place with complimentary food and beverages for participants of legal age, including pizza and beer.
