Coast to Coast Copper Trail 2026
The Coast to Coast Copper Trail is a half marathon event across Cornwall on 23 May 2026, running from Portreath on the north coast to Devoran Quay on the south coast. The event is presented as the sixth consecutive edition of the extended half marathon along a way marked trail.
The route follows two historic transport routes first opened in 1812 and used to move copper to the ports of Portreath and Devoran. There is a checkpoint at the halfway point offering fluid and salt or sugar snacks. There is no cut off time for the event. All runners must carry fluid and a mobile phone. Canicross entries are accepted. An optional minibus return to Portreath is available for participants.
Timing is managed via the ST App Service and there will be no chip timing. All finishers receive a Coast to Coast Copper trail medal and there are awards for top finishers. The event organiser is Purple Gecko Events. The start location postcode is given as TR16 4LN and registration closes on 10 May 2026 at 12:00.
