Event Overview

The Coast to Coast Copper Trail is an 11.5-mile point-to-point trail run from Portreath on Cornwall's north coast to Devoran Quay on the south coast. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2026.

Course Details

The course follows two historic transport routes first opened in 1812, which were used to transport copper to the ports of Portreath and Devoran. The run starts on Portreath beach and finishes at Devoran Quay. A checkpoint at the Fox & Hounds in Scorrier provides fluids and snacks. There is no cut-off time for the event.

Event Logistics

Registration opens at 7:30 AM at the Portreath Surf Lifesaving Club. The race starts at 9:00 AM. All runners receive a Coast-to-Coast Copper Trail medal. Awards are given to the top male and female finishers. An optional minibus transfer shuttle back to the start can be booked on entry.

Participation Requirements

The minimum age for participation is 18 years. Canicross entries are welcome. All runners must carry their own fluid and a mobile phone. An optional reusable cup is recommended for drinks at the checkpoint, as no cups are provided. Event numbers are restricted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
