Coast to Coast Copper Trail Half Marathon 2027
The Coast to Coast Copper Trail Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile trail run taking place on 22 May 2027. The route runs from Portreath on the north coast of Cornwall across to Devoran Quay on the south coast and is waymarked along historic transport routes first opened in 1812.
The course follows former mine transport routes used to move copper to the ports of Portreath and Devoran. There is a midway checkpoint providing fluid and salt or sugar snacks. Canicross entries are welcome. There is no cut off time for finishers. All participants must carry fluid and a mobile phone and the minimum age is 18 years. Timing is provided by ST App Service; there will be no chip timing. All finishers receive a Coast to Coast Copper Trail medal and there are awards for top finishers. An optional minibus return to Portreath is available. A silent disco at the finish is planned, subject to the weather.
