Event
The Coast to Coast Copper Trail takes place on 23 May 2026. It runs across Cornwall from Portreath on the north coast to Devoran Quay on the south coast. The marked trail follows two historic transport routes first opened in 1812 that were used to move copper to the ports.

- Distance: about 11.5 miles
The route is way marked and includes a midway checkpoint at the Fox & Hounds in Scorrier, where staff provide fluids and salt and sugar snacks and will check bib numbers. There is no cut off time for the event. Canicross entries are accepted. All finishers receive a Coast-to-Coast Copper Trail medal and there are awards for top finishers by gender. There is no kit check, but all runners must carry fluid and a mobile phone. The minimum age for entry is 18 years. The event is subject to restricted numbers. An optional minibus shuttle return to the start is available; it operates when numbers require departures and is not an on-demand service.
