Coast Guard Foundation Run to Remember 5K - New London
This inaugural event at Fort Trumbull State Park in New London, Connecticut is organized to honor U.S. Coast Guard members who made the ultimate sacrifice. The event brings together Coast Guard families, service members, veterans, and community members to remember those who served and to recognize their legacy.
Distances offered:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 800 m Kids Fun Run (about 1/2 mile)
The 5K is an out-and-back, flat course along Pequot Avenue with views of the Thames River. Chip timing for the 5K is provided by SNERRO, LLC. Strollers are welcome. The kids run is free but requires registration.
Entry fees for the 5K are listed in date-based tiers: Now through Aug 31 $30, Sept 1 through Oct 3 $35, Oct 4 through Oct 15 $40, Oct 16 through race day $50. Awards include top three male and female overall finishers and top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.
