CMAR Trail Races: Cry Me A River
CMAR Trail Races is scheduled for July 9, 2027 at Camp Wokanda near Chillicothe, IL on the Illinois River Bluff Trail. The event uses a loop format on river bluff trails and takes place over a weekend with on site camping and multiple aid stations.
Distances offered include:
- 100 Miler: four 25 mile loops, 18,500 ft elevation
- 50 Miler: two 25 mile loops, nearly 9,300 ft elevation
- 50K: one long loop with nearly 6,500 ft elevation
- Half Marathon: two mile camp loop then out and back, 2,815 ft elevation
- 4 Mile Fun Run: two lake loops starting and finishing at The Lodge
Course details note substantial rolling hills and summer heat typical of Illinois in July. The 100 mile race allows pacers after two loops. Awards and finisher medals are guaranteed. Registrations submitted before June 1 are guaranteed a T shirt and swag; the organizer states they will provide something to entrants in other cases.
The organizer offers a 7 day cancellation window for a full refund minus UltraSignup fees when cancelled from the registration portal. A rollover option is available up to 30 days before the race to defer an entry to the following year. Transfers are not allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
