Clowbridge 5k - Autumn 1/3
This is a trail 5 km race held around Clowbridge Reservoir on a popular route off the Pennine Bridleway. The course consists of two anti clockwise laps of the trail path starting from Rossendale Valley Sailing Club on Manchester Road, Burnley, BB11 5PF. The route is described as fast and flat with approximately 25 m of elevation gain over the 5 km.
The event is open to runners aged 11 and over and forms the first race in a three race autumn series held on Thursdays on 3 September, 10 September, and 17 September 2026. Entries are processed through SiEntries; entries opened on 21 March 2026 and close on 2 September 2026. The entry fee is £6.50.
Races are marshalled and prizes are awarded in each race. Competitors are asked to park sensibly in the local area, with a lower car park available at the Sailing Club and parking at Limey Lane at the far end of the reservoir.
