About the race
Holcombe Two Towers Fell Race is a 6.5 km / 4 miles steep route across and around Holcombe Moor, organized by Holcombe Harriers. The course combines open moorland trails with woodland sections, delivering ascent of about 400 m (1,312 ft) and a demanding set of climbs. The race starts near the Hare & Hounds pub in Bury and follows Holcombe Old Road, through Redisher Woods, with the start line just after a steep descent.
The route is well flagged, but runners are responsible for navigation and safety. Expect fading daylight toward the finish; headtorches are recommended. Entry is affordable, with FRA member £6, non-member £8, and a 1h15m cut-off. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
