Cloudcroft Ugly Sweater 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk
The Cloudcroft Ugly Sweater 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk is scheduled for December 5, 2026, in Cloudcroft, New Mexico. The event is the second annual edition and uses the Cloudcroft Pavilion at 1100 James Canyon Hwy for start and finish. The event is limited to 100 participants and requires online registration.

Registration for the 5K includes a custom long-sleeve shirt if registered by the shirt deadline on November 23, and a finisher's medal and Christmas race bib. Registration for the 1 Mile walk includes a custom short-sleeve shirt, a finisher's medal, and a Christmas race bib. A limited number of SWAG items are included with registration.
The event offers awards for the overall top finishers in the 5K and for the ugliest sweater. It is stroller-friendly. Finish-line amenities include holiday snacks, a hot chocolate station, and Christmas cookies. Early check-in is available the day before at Cloudcroft Brewing Company. Proceeds from the event will benefit local non-profits. The race finish is followed by downtown holiday activities, including a Christmas parade and a tree lighting.
