Clipston Trail Half and Country 5 Miler
The Clipston Trail Races take place on Sunday 19th September 2027 around Clipston Recreation Ground, Station Road, Clipston, Market Harborough LE16 9RN. The event comprises a half marathon and a country 5 mile, with GPX files available for both routes.
Both courses start opposite the pavilion and immediately climb into the surrounding countryside. Runners follow bridleways, footpaths and short sections of minor country roads; the half marathon finishes with a footpath section from Kelmarsh back to Clipston. The half marathon route gains a total of 237 m elevation.
Entries are paid online with listed fees of £27.00 for the half marathon and £18.00 for the 5 mile. Competitors must be at least 17 on race day. Online entries close at 7pm on the Wednesday before the race; transfer of entries closes the Sunday before the race. Race packs will not be posted.
There are four water stations on the half marathon route and one on the 5 mile; participants are asked to bring a reusable cup for refills. Free parking is available on-site or in the field opposite the recreation ground, with marshal directions on the day. The event is organised with the Clipston Recreation Field Trust and funds raised support maintenance and development of the playing fields and facilities.
Medals and homemade cakes provided by the local W.I. are given to all finishers. The course crosses working farms and is not suitable for canicross runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
