The Viridian Daventry Triathlon
The event takes place on Sunday 13 September 2026 and is organised by Rugby Triathlon Club. It is a pool-based sprint triathlon that uses Daventry Leisure Centre and the surrounding area.
The race comprises:
- 400 m swim in a pool at Daventry Leisure Centre
- 20 km cycle through local Northamptonshire countryside
- 5 km run around Daventry Country Park
Racing options include individual Sprint Distance entry or a Sprint Distance Relay for teams of two or three members. There will be road closures for the finish area. All finishers receive a t-shirt and an iconic medal, and the event notes improved age category prizes for 2025.
The Viridian Gold Team invitational competition combines the fastest finishing times of three eligible club entries to produce an overall winning team; all individual finishing times are also included in the main sprint results. Course records are listed as 55:04 for men (2015) and 1:03:55 for women (2019).
Entry fees are shown as £45 with an additional £2.50 fee for individual sprint entries and £60 with an additional £3.75 fee for sprint relays. Entry closes 9 September 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
