The Viridian Daventry Triathlon
The Viridian Daventry Triathlon takes place on Sunday 13th September 2026 and is organised by Rugby Triathlon Club. The event starts at Daventry Leisure Centre and finishes with a run around Daventry Country Park. The cycle route runs through local Northamptonshire countryside. There will be road closures in the finish area.
The race is a pool based sprint format comprising three short sections:
- 400 m pool swim
- 20 km cycle
- 5 km run around Daventry Country Park
Entrants can compete as an individual in the Sprint Distance or as a Sprint Distance Relay team with two or three members. All finishers receive a t-shirt and a finisher medal. The event notes improved age category prizes introduced in 2025. Recorded course best times for the sprint distance include a men's time of 55:04 and a women's time of 1:03:55.
The Viridian Gold Team invitational competition runs alongside the main race. For eligible clubs the fastest finishing times of three club entries are added together to create an overall club result, while all individual finishing times are also included in the sprint race results.
