Event overview
The Viridian Daventry Triathlon takes place on Sunday, 13 September 2026, at Daventry Leisure Centre and Daventry Country Park, postcode NN11 4FP. The event is organised by Rugby Triathlon Club. It is a pool-based sprint triathlon offered for individual competitors and for relay teams of two or three members. Road closures will be in place for the finish area. All finishers receive a t-shirt and a medal. Age category prizes were improved for 2025.
Race details and entry
The race format includes:
- 400 m pool swim
- 20 km cycle through the local Northamptonshire countryside
- 5 km run around Daventry Country Park
Course records are listed for the sprint distance: the men's record is 55:04 (2015) and the women's record is 1:03:55 (2019). The Viridian Gold Team invitational competition is held alongside the main race; the fastest finishing times of three club entries from eligible clubs are added together to determine the winning team, and all individual finishing times are included in the main results.
