The Viridian Daventry Triathlon
Organised by Rugby Triathlon Club, the event uses Daventry Leisure Centre and Daventry Country Park, postcode NN11 4FP. The swim takes place in a 400 m pool at the leisure centre and the bike and run use local roads and park paths.
Distances
- 400 m pool swim
- 20 km cycle through the local Northamptonshire countryside
- 5 km run around Daventry Country Park
Entries are available as an individual Sprint Distance or as a Sprint Distance relay with two or three team members. There will be road closures for the finish area. All finishers receive a t-shirt and an iconic medal. Improved age category prizes were introduced in 2025.
Course records are listed for the sprint format: the men's record is 55:04 set in 2015 and the women's record is 1:03:55 set in 2019.
The Viridian Gold Team invitational adds the fastest finishing times of three eligible club entries to determine an overall winning team. All individual finishing times from those clubs are also included in the main sprint results.
Entry fees listed for the event are: Sprint individual £45 plus a £2.50 fee, Sprint relay £60 plus a £3.75 fee. Entry closes 9th Sep 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
