Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Future for Wildlife 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Walk
The event takes place on October 4, 2026 at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo in Cleveland, Ohio. It offers two participant options and supports Zoo conservation efforts by letting participants run or walk for a selected species.

Registration opens March 9, 2026. Pre-registration through October 2 costs $30. Registration from October 3 through race day costs $35 and race day registration is available online only.
Participants receive a custom race t-shirt, a finisher medal for all, post-race refreshments, and admission to the zoo. Participants may choose to support conservation for one of these species: Andean Bear, Asian Turtle, Giraffe, Gorilla, Lion, or Rhino.
Spectators must purchase zoo admission online to enter; zoo membership does not provide free entry. Ticket prices are to be determined and the box office will not be open. Admissions staff will scan online tickets once purchased.
