Event overview
The Empower Sports 5K is scheduled for September 19, 2026 in Cleveland, OH at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. The event includes the following options:

The full 5K course runs through the zoo. Registered runners receive an event t-shirt and zoo access. After the race there are awards, food, and an open bar in the Palava Hut. Dogs are not allowed.
Entries, fees and logistics
Race registration for the 5K and 1 Mile is listed at $35. A Supporter registration option is listed at $20. The event notes that all supporters must purchase zoo admission tickets online, even if they are zoo members; posted admission rates are $20.50 for adults (ages 12-61), $18.50 for seniors (62+), and $16.50 for juniors (ages 2-11). The box office will not be open and admissions staff will scan online tickets.

Awards
Awards are given to the top five overall male and female finishers. Age-group awards are offered for these groups: 10 and under; 11-14; 15-19; then five-year bands from 20-24 through 65-69; and 70+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
