Cleveland Metroparks Lantern Festival 5K
The Lantern Festival 5K is held on July 21, 2026, at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo in Cleveland, Ohio. The course runs through the zoo and features more than 70 larger-than-life, colorful displays positioned along the route.

Registration opens June 8, 2026. Pre-registration through July 18 is $30; registration from July 19 through race day is $35. Race day registration is available online only.
Participants in both the 5K and the 1 Mile walk receive a custom race t-shirt, a participant medal, and post-race refreshments. The entry includes zoo admission the evening of the event from 7 pm to 10 pm.
Early packet pickup is available on July 20 from 11 am to 1 pm at Hermes Sports & Events, 2425 W 11th St #2, Cleveland, OH 44113.
Timing is chip based for the 5K; the 1 Mile walk is untimed. Supporters who wish to attend must purchase zoo admission online; tickets are $22.50 and the box office will not be open.
