Event Overview
The Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital Run for Home takes place over two days in New Philadelphia, Ohio. This multi-distance event serves as a benefit for Habitat for Humanity East Central Ohio. The activities are centered around Tuscora Park and include various road races and a walking option.
Race Distances
- Half-Marathon: A 13.1-mile certified course starting at Tuscora Park and finishing in Woody Hayes Quaker Stadium.
- Team Relay: A 13.1-mile race for three-person teams with exchange zones at 3.4 and 8.4 miles.
- 10K: A 10-kilometer race beginning and finishing at Tuscora Park.
- 5K: A 5-kilometer race beginning and finishing at Tuscora Park.
- One-Mile Fun Run: A 1-mile run or walk course located around Tuscora Park.
Course Details and Logistics
The half-marathon and relay courses utilize city streets and park paths, traveling from New Philadelphia to Dover City Park before returning. For relay participants, bus transportation is provided to and from the designated exchange zones. The 10K and 5K courses also utilize the area surrounding Tuscora Park. A post-race gathering is held at Hoodletown Brewing Co. following the Sunday events.
Participant Amenities
Registration for the various distances includes specific items. Half-marathon runners receive a long-sleeve moisture-management shirt and a finishers' medal. Relay members receive a short-sleeve moisture-management shirt and a medal. Participants in the 10K receive a drawstring backpack, water bottle, socks, and a medal, while 5K runners receive a short-sleeve shirt and a medal.
Half-10K Challenge
A special challenge is available for individuals who register for and complete both the 10K and the Half-Marathon. These participants receive a lightweight hoodie and are eligible for special awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
