AdventHealth Clermont Clay 15K & 5K presented by LiveTrends Design Group
The event is a set of timed running options held at the Clermont Clay in Clermont, Florida. It offers on-course distances on a hilly off-road clay surface and uses an out-and-back format for the timed events due to construction on Schofield Road. Proceeds support endurance sports and venues in South Lake County; past fundraising has reached $105,000 and work on Wellness Way trails and future parking is underway.
Distances include:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 15K (9.3 miles)
- Virtual 5K and 15K options available
Aid stations are located at approximately miles 1.5, 3.0 and 4.6; the out-and-back layout gives 15K runners multiple opportunities to hydrate. Participants receive a chip timed bib, a gender specific singlet, a finisher medal and a post-race snack and beverage. Awards from LiveTrends Design Group are presented in overall, masters and 10-year age groups for female and male categories; the 15K also includes Grand Masters recognition. Awards must be picked up during the ceremony.
Packet pickup is available the day before at Dash Sports on W Montrose Street and at the race venue on race day; virtual race packets are shipped within two weeks after the event and cannot be mailed outside the United States.
