Cleft Palate Gallop 5K and Fun Walk
The 17th annual Cleft Palate Gallop is scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2026. The event is hosted by dental students at the Adams School of Dentistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A student-led organization, Magical Moments, supports patients of the Craniofacial Center, and all proceeds will benefit the UNC Craniofacial Center to support comprehensive, specialized treatment for pediatric craniofacial conditions.
The race start location is the Old Well on the UNC Chapel Hill campus, with an approximate address of 180 E. Cameron Ave., Chapel Hill, NC 27514.

- 1.2 Mile Family Fun Walk
Both the 5K and the Fun Walk have a registration fee of $25; in-person registration is available on race day for an additional five dollars. The registration period runs from August 10 to September 27. Early registrants are guaranteed a shirt size.
Packet pickup is at Fleet Feet Carrboro on Friday, September 25. Fleet Feet Carrboro is listed as a local supporter and participants receive 10% off in-store purchases the weekend of the event, Carrboro location only.
Awards will be given to the overall first, second, and third place male and female runners and to the top male and female runners in each age group: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
