Clear Lake Sprint and Olympic Triathlon
This multi-discipline event takes place at Clear Lake Pub and Beach in Fremont, Indiana. It features Sprint and Olympic triathlons and also offers duathlon, aquabike, and relay entry options. The Sprint and Olympic triathlons are in their third year at Clear Lake Beach.
The swim is held in Clear Lake with a sandy beach and a gradual, smooth entry. After the swim athletes climb a set of stairs up to the transition area.
The bike course uses large portions of the former TSRA Triathlon and Pokagon Triathlon routes. The terrain is generally flat to rolling, with the Olympic distance described as hillier than the Sprint course.
The run follows town roads along Clear Lake, described as flat and fast with wind protection and local community support. On-site food and drink are available for purchase from Clear Lake Pub.
Distances:
- Sprint Triathlon: 500 yard swim; 12 mile bike; 3.1 mile run
- Olympic Triathlon: 1650 yard swim; 24.8 mile bike; 6.2 mile run
The event is organized by Ruble Triathlon. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
