Clayton's Hardest & Funnest 5k and Festival
Clayton's Hardest & Funnest 5k is a community running event held on March 20, 2027 at the green space behind the City of Clayton Town Hall and at the Rabun County Pavilions, 837 Highway 76 West, Clayton, GA 30525. The event combines a timed 5K course with a festival area that includes local sponsors and vendors, packet pick-up in the festival area, and parking in both city and county lots.
The 5K course is laid out as four 0.75 mile laps. Each lap ends with a 100 foot challenge lane in a different movement: Lunges, Bear Crawl, Burpee Broad Jump, and Sprint. The 5K can be completed solo or as a relay team of up to four people. Registration for the 5K and relay opened April 28, 2026; fees listed are $35 for solo 5K and $30 per relay entry. The event is open to all ages and abilities and registration includes a t-shirt and a finisher award. Deadline for a guaranteed t-shirt is March 1, 2027.
A separate KIDS run for ages ten and younger covers four 0.25 mile laps around the pavilion area with the same style of challenge lanes. Kids registration fee is $20. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
