Chattooga Belle Farm Wine Run 5k
The Chattooga Belle Farm Wine Run 5k is a chip-timed run and walk event located in Long Creek, South Carolina. The course is designed in a cross-country style, taking participants through the local vineyards and across terrain that is primarily grass. The route includes hills and offers views of the surrounding mountains.
Participants receive a variety of event-specific items with their registration. This package includes a t-shirt made of ring-spun cotton, a finisher medal, and a portable, shatterproof wine glass. Participants of legal age also receive a pour of wine after completing the course. Results are tracked via electronic timing and are posted online for all finishers.
Awards are provided for the top three finishers in several age categories, ranging from 19 and under to 80 and over, in 10-year increments. Competitive participants intended to qualify for these awards should start with the first group or wave. Awards must be collected at the registration table on the day of the event, as they are not shipped afterward.
The event takes place at Chattooga Belle Farm, a working produce and vegetable farm. Due to regulations, dogs are not permitted on the property. Strollers are allowed on the course, though the uneven nature of the grass terrain is noted for those choosing to use them.
