Event Overview
The City Park Classic takes place in Denver, Colorado, at the City Park Boat House. This event serves as a kickoff for Worldwide Pancreatic Cancer Awareness month. Participants have the choice of several distances:
- 10k Run
- 5k Run or Walk
- 1 Mile Walk of Hope (untimed)
All finishers in the 10k and 5k events receive a medal. Registration includes a white t-shirt for race day. The 10k distance is an official qualifier for the BolderBoulder.
The event supports pancreatic cancer research through the CU Division of Surgical Oncology. One hundred percent of donations made through the event go directly to this research facility in Colorado. Participants who reach specific fundraising milestones may be eligible for prizes or raffle entries for future 3W Races.
Additional services available for the event include advanced packet pick-up and GPS tracking through the RaceJoy application. The organizers also partner with Sneakers4Funds, allowing participants to donate new or gently used athletic shoes to benefit the charity Growing Home.
