Event details
The Cirque Series race at Killington, Vermont takes place on June 27, 2026 at Killington Resort (K1 area). The single course is 8.2 miles with 3,010 ft of elevation gain and the field is capped at 700 entries. Entry options listed are Sport Division, Expert Division, Pro Division (all priced at $99) and a Volunteer option (free). A National Forest fee of $2.00 applies. Timing uses a disposable chip attached to the back of the bib.
Course
The counter-clockwise course starts at the base of the K-1 Gondola and summits three of the resort’s six peaks. Notable features named in the route include Buster Bunny, Snowden Peak (3,592 ft), Great Northern Trail and the Cat Walk, and Killington Peak (4,242 ft). Aid Station #1 is at mile 3.16 and Aid Station #2 at mile 6.6. The final climb passes Needle's Eye, a quarter-mile section described at 45 percent grade, followed by a descent on Bittersweet to the finish at K1. The course is located in the Green Mountain National Forest.
Safety, logistics and prizes
Organizers state the terrain can be steep, rocky, grassy, wet and slippery; the route is marked with orange flagging and competitors are required to follow the flagged path. Hydration is provided at two aid stations and the finish. There is a strict cut-off at Killington Peak summit of 1:30 hrs (competitors missing the cut-off will use the chairlift). Prize structure lists cash for Pro places (1st $2,000; 2nd $250; 3rd $150) and gear awards for Expert and Sport categories, plus several special recognitions.
