Cirque Series Killington
The event takes place in Killington, Vermont on June 27, 2026. The course is a single trail race of 8.2 miles with 3,010 feet of elevation gain. The field is capped at 700 runners.
The counterclockwise route begins at the K-1 Base Area at the base of the K-1 Gondola and summits three of Killington Resort’s peaks. The course passes Snowdon Peak (3,592 feet), Great Northern and Ridge Run, then climbs Catwalk to Killington Peak (4,241 feet). AID STATION #1 is located at mile 3.16. The return includes service and 4x4 roads, the Bear Cub trail, the base of Needle’s Eye, and a final climb on Bearly trail to a steep quarter mile finish on Needle’s Eye with a reported 45 percent grade. AID STATION #2 sits at the base of Needle’s Eye, and the final descent down Bittersweet returns to K-1 Lodge.
The course runs through Green Mountain National Forest and is described as steep, rocky, grassy, wet and slippery. The route is marked with orange flagging and competitors are required to follow the flagged route for safety. If a runner encounters an injured competitor they should inform the nearest course marshal, EMT or rescue services. There is a strict summit cut-off of 1 hour 30 minutes at Killington Peak; competitors who do not meet the cut-off will take the chairlift down. Typically two to ten competitors do not make the cut-off. The course may be adjusted as necessary.
Event amenities include early bib pickup the day before and race day bib pickup at K-1 Lodge, an all day vendor village, awards, a giveaway and an after party. Every competitor receives a snapback, giveaway ticket, logoed bib and medal, a sponsor swag bag and free professional race photos. Cirque Series hats are available at the merch booth.
