Shiver Me Shamrocks Heritage O'Family 5k
The Shiver Me Shamrocks Heritage O'Family 5k is a community athletic event held in Rutland, Vermont. Organized by the Heritage Family Credit Union, the event serves as a fundraiser to support various nonprofits in Southern Vermont through the Heritage Family Cares for You Foundation. Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5 km Run or Walk for teens and adults.
- Kid's Fun Run (Leprechaun Leap) for children aged 0-12 years.
The event features a festive atmosphere where participants are encouraged to wear green costumes. The 5 km course has a 60-minute time limit for completion, after which race support is removed. For the comfort and safety of all participants, dogs are not permitted at the event. Additionally, the use of strollers is discouraged due to the typical road and sidewalk conditions found in the area during this time of year.
Registration benefits for the 5 km participants include a drink ticket valid at several local establishments, including Taco Fresco, Roots, Nonna's, Speakeasy, or Loose Luna.
