Event overview
The 2026 Snow Devil Snowshoe Spartan Ultra takes place Jan 16-17, 2026 at Riverside Farm in Pittsfield, Vermont, located in the Green Mountains. This is presented as the original Spartan Founders event and is described as the oldest Spartan challenge since 2003. The course uses rugged, no-frills terrain and includes demanding trails and sustained climbs, including a stated thousand-foot, three-mile climb and a dense spruce section called the Labyrinth. Logistics and entry
Ticketing is listed from $40. Racing as a team is the only way to secure the same start time as teammates and is said to provide savings when tickets are purchased together. A service member discount of up to 25% is offered to eligible US Military, US Law Enforcement, US Firefighters and first responders (EMT, EMS, Paramedics, Nurses, Hospital Doctors) and US government employees; eligibility is verified via GOVX.
