Circle the Bay - North Bend, OR
Circle the Bay is a road running event held on August 8, 2026, that starts and finishes at Ferry Road Park in North Bend, Oregon. The course covers 30 kilometers (about 18.6 miles) and follows the Coos Bay waterfront, continues around the bay through Eastside, and returns to Ferry Road Park.
Participants may run the entire distance individually or form a three person relay team. The course is divided into three legs with varied terrain: the first leg is relatively flat, the second is moderately rolling, and the third includes sustained climbing. The course is open to vehicle traffic; runners should exercise caution where the route shares the road with cars.
Event services include water at exchanges, provided approximately every six miles, plumbed toilets at the start and finish, and port o potties at exchange locations. Aid stations close at noon and all participants must be off course by 1:00 PM. Registered participants and volunteers who sign up by July 18 receive shirts. Volunteers receive a free shirt.
Entry options and fees are listed per person and per team, with team pricing and age and category divisions for both individual and relay entrants. A registered individual may run the first relay leg without extra charge. A post race barbecue and beverages are provided for participants and volunteers.
