Cinco De Mile, Gilroy, CA
Cinco De Mile is a community run presented by Mt. Madonna Challenge, La Ofrenda Festival, and Esfuerzo at Christmas Hill Park in Gilroy, California. The event combines timed races with a cultural festival that includes a Mariachi and Folklorico showcase, a youth soccer clinic, arts, culture and wellness vendors, and food by La Patrona Cocina Mexicana.

Most of the courses use the levee and sidewalks, with minor road crossings for the 10K. Most 5K participants and ruckers will follow designated paths. The kids one mile is two loops around Christmas Hill under the redwood trees. Timing is provided by SVE Timing with chip timing through the bib.
Proceeds from registration, merchandise sales, sponsors, and donations are distributed among the three presenting organizations. The Mt. Madonna Scholarship supports local high school cross country runners to attend the Max King Trail Running Camp. La Ofrenda Festival focuses on honoring and preserving Latine and Indigenous traditions through a Dia de Muertos festival and year-round programming. Esfuerzo supports initiatives that promote perseverance through products, partnerships, and philanthropy.
The kid's one mile is free and finishing participants receive a goodie bag. The event has a no refunds policy and proceeds benefit community programs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
