Christmas in July Half

Course

The event offers two distances: a half marathon and a 5K. Both courses are out-and-back routes on the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal path, which is a light gravel surface with minimal elevation change. The half marathon begins and ends in Georgetown near the Potomac Boat Club. The 5K begins and ends at Fletcher's Boathouse. Walkers are welcome. The half marathon has a time limit of 3 hours and 15 minutes.

Runner Information

Participants receive a finisher's medal, a technical event shirt, and chip timing. A virtual run option is available for those who cannot attend on race day.

Registration & Logistics

Registration fees are $35 for the 5K and $70 for the half marathon until July 15, after which prices increase. Shirts are guaranteed for registrations before July 15. Packet pickup is on race morning, and there is no on-site race registration. The event benefits the Purple Heart Foundation.

Points Series

Event points count towards the organizer's Year-Long 5k, Endurance, and Back of the Pack series, as well as their Summer Series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
