Christalis Superhero 5K Run/Walk
The Christalis Superhero 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Washington Adventist University, 7600 Flower Ave, Takoma Park, MD. The event raises support for vulnerable children in Uganda and is presented as family-friendly.
The event lineup includes multiple participation options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Virtual 5K Run/Walk
- Little Hero Dash (Kiddie Dash)
Participants receive a superhero-themed race T-shirt while supplies last and a participation medal while supplies last. Snacks are provided before and after the event. Along the course there will be local cheerleaders and live music. After the races there will be a superhero costume contest and a variety of local food and business vendors.
Awards and prizes are offered for overall and age-group finishers. Prizes and awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers. Age-group awards are given to the top two males and top two females in these groups: 15 and under; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+. The Little Hero Dash includes prizes and a toy medal for top finishers in ages 5-6, 7-8, and 9-10. Costume prizes are organized by age categories.
