Event Overview
The Chris Lockett Memorial Run is an annual event held in Murphy, North Carolina. The 2026 edition marks the 7th year of this race, which begins at the Murphy High School parking lot. The event serves as a fundraiser, with all proceeds and donations directed toward the Sgt Christopher Lockett Memorial Scholarship.
Participation Options
Participants can choose between two primary formats for the event:
- 5K running race held on-site at Murphy High School.
- 5K virtual race for those participating from different locations.
Registration and Logistics
On-site participants must check in at a dedicated registration table to confirm their entry and collect their event apparel. While registration is available on the day of the event, event shirts are provided to race-day registrants only while supplies last. If stock is depleted, late registrants will receive their shirts through a subsequent order at a later date.
For those participating in the virtual format, a shirt is not included in the standard registration fee. Virtual runners have the option to purchase a shirt for an additional cost during the registration process to have it shipped to their location. Attendees are advised to arrive approximately 40 minutes before the activity begins. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
