The 8th Annual Chocolate Challenge
The Chocolate Challenge is a charity running event held in Liverpool, New York on July 25, 2026. It offers in-person and virtual distance options and distributes post-race items to participants.
The event includes the following distances:
- 5K Walk
- 5K Run
- 10K Run
- Virtual 5K Run/Walk
- Virtual 10K
Packet pickup takes place at Long Branch Park parking lot with a session on the day before the event and a session on the day of the event. Scheduled pickup times are Friday 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM. Packets include the race shirt and bib.
All proceeds support Kelleigh's Cause, a 501(c)(3) organization based in Central New York that raises awareness, provides family resources, and funds research for arteriovenous malformations (AVM). Funds support laboratory tests that analyze proteins produced by AVMs, testing of new or repurposed drugs, and local educational programs for families and doctors. Primary research funding includes a fund at Boston Children's Hospital with contributions matched dollar for dollar.
