About the race
Beyond Trails presents Beyond Manchester, a trail and ultrarunning event in Manchester on 18 July 2026. Runners can choose a 25km Trail or a 55km Ultra, both starting and finishing in the Castlefield area. The route travels from central Manchester onto the Ship Canal and Salford Quays, passes the Imperial War Museum North and Old Trafford, then goes through Eccles and onto the Irwell Sculpture Trail before looping back to the city center.
Expect a mix of paved paths, canal towpaths, parks and woodland, with some steps, mud and hills. The event offers a signed route, GPX files, feed stations, medical support, and a finisher’s medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
